Scenes from the alternate universe of drama serials:

Someone runs across the road without looking left or right, and suddenly, a speeding car will speed towards him. He will freeze and everything will go into slo-mo. The camera will zoom in on his shocked face. It will pan to the speeding car. Then this will end in two scenarios:

1. The love of his life will dash out, push him to one side, and get knocked down himself. She will suffer a blood clot in the brain that will leave her blind. She will then need a very dangerous surgical procedure to remove the blood clot, but the operation will always be successful and she will regain his sight and go on to marry the love of her life who may or may not eventually be the person she rescued from the speeding car. Hooray for advanced medical science!

2. She will get knocked down. She will roll over the car's bonnet, and then roll back down and land on the road, where her arms will be flung open dramatically. She most likely will not die but she will suffer a blood clot in the brain that will render her blind. She will then need a very dangerous surgical procedure to remove the blood clot, but the operation will almost be successful and she will regain her sight and go on to marry the love of her life. Hooray for advanced medical science!

Another thing. Do you notice that people always have an unshielded fruit knife sticking out of a fruit basket displayed in their living room? This unshielded fruit knife will prove particularly lethal when a psycho storms into the house and tries to kill someone by pulling the knife out of the fruit basket. A struggle with ensue. The hero of the show will then try to subdue the psycho, and in the process, sustain cuts on his arm but never on the face, mind you. Thankfully, or else how will the hero go on to marry the love of his life if he had a scarred face?
